Walk-In Tours

Written in Knots Curator Tour

3 p.m. every other Friday (April 12 to August 16)

This 45- to 60-minute tour of special exhibition Written in Knots: Undeciphered Accounts of Andean Life will be led by one of the co-curators, Juan Antonio Murro and Dr. Jeffrey Splitstoser. Discover the stories behind khipus and the new research working to decipher their mysteries.

 

Architecture Tour

1:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of each month (sign up in the museum lobby; limited to 15 people).

This 60-minute tour introduces visitors to a selection of buildings on Dumbarton Oaks’ campus.

 

Garden Tour

2:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, weather permitting.

This 30-minute introductory tour shows visitors select areas and introduces them to the design and development of the garden.

 

Museum Highlights Tour

1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (sign up in the museum lobby; limited to 15 people).

This 60-minute tour introduces visitors to selected artworks from the collections.
